“Which clinic is right for me?”
To Choose a fertility clinic is the first step to start the fertility treatment. We can collect a lot of Information from the Internet, advertisements and word-of-mouth easily, but it is harder than expected to find the best treatment and best doctor for us. “I went to the hospital, but something didn't look right, and there were no results…” ” when I decided to transfer to another hospital, it had already been several years since I started treatment…” How do everyone decide on a hospital and clinic? Tomoko, the Japanese coordinator of Global Fertility and Genetics(GFG),provided the points of view about the points of choosing a clinic based on her own experience as before.

When Tomoko decided to treat infertility, she first consulted with four different hospitals and clinics. Then, she decided on a clinic associated with a well known university hospital with abundant experience and trust. The word-of-mouth of “best hospital that is one of the three most recognized clinics in New York” was a great relief for her who was getting infertility treatment for the first time.
However, the reality was a more stressful environment than she had expected. Monitoring time was provided only in early morning, the waiting time was very long and different doctors and nurses saw her each time, so she saw her primary doctor face-to-face only for very short time. Egg retrieval and embryo transfer were carried out at the affiliated hospital next door and additional procedures and additional costs were required. Moreover, the doctor who she saw for the first time on the day of the operation, which she felt full of anxiety.
She became pregnant with the second IVF and gave birth to her first child, but she was exhausted both physically and mentally in the stressful treatment environment while having a child in the challenge of trying to conceive with her second baby.
Meanwhile, Tomoko met Global Fertility and Genetics (GFG) through a friend's introduction. Believing in your judgment is more important than track record and reputation.

For example, there is a hospital that claims that the pregnancy rate is 90%, and you decided to go to the hospital because you believed in the results, but you may learn later that most of the patients are in their early 20s and 30s and they don’t need advanced reproductive technology such as IVF. Unfortunately, it would be difficult for a couple in their 40s to expect the same pregnancy rate at the hospital.

It is important to choose a clinic that makes you think "Let's do our best together" in a stress-free environment with convincing explanations based on evidence, latest treatment techniques and state-of the-art equipment that can realize what you need, patient-first approach, smooth communication with doctors and nurses, clinic atmosphere, and which those are key to success in fertility.
